Storage that suits how you use it
A good wardrobe starts with a conversation, not a catalogue. How much long hanging do you need for dresses and coats? Do you fold more than you hang? Where do the shoes go? We plan the inside around what you'll store, then work out the rails, shelves and drawers to suit, so nothing ends up wasted at the back or piled on the floor.
Built-ins are fitted to the room, not just pushed against the wall. Walls are rarely perfectly straight and floors are rarely perfectly level, so we scribe the panels to the walls and ceiling for a clean, gap-free finish. In older Brisbane homes that often means working with walls that have moved over the decades.
The same thinking goes into linen cupboards, pantries and alcove shelving. Adjustable shelves give you room to change things later, and deeper shelves aren't always better if you can't reach what's at the back. Many newer Gold Coast homes come with a single shelf and a rail in each robe, and that's often the easiest space to turn into something far more useful.
What we do
Wardrobes and shelving we build
Built-in wardrobes
Floor-to-ceiling robes with hinged or sliding doors, scribed to the walls and fitted out with rails, shelves and drawers.
Walk-in robe fit-outs
Open shelving, double hanging, drawer units and shoe shelves arranged around how you get dressed.
Wardrobe refits
The original single shelf and rail stripped out and replaced with a layout that holds far more.
Linen cupboards
Shelves spaced for towels, sheets and bulky bedding, with adjustable heights so the cupboard can change as you do.
Pantry shelving
Strong, wipeable shelves at heights that suit jars, tins and appliances, including corner and walk-in pantries.
Alcove & study shelving
Fixed and floating shelves in alcoves, home offices and living rooms, fixed into the framing so they hold real weight.
Time for better storage when…
- Your wardrobe has one shelf and one rail and the rest is wasted
- Clothes end up on a chair because there's nowhere to put them
- The linen cupboard is a stack that topples when you pull a towel out
- Pantry shelves are bowing, too deep or too far apart
- Old wardrobe doors stick, drop off their tracks or look tired
- You're renovating a bedroom and want robes that match the new look
What affects the price
- The size of the wardrobe or cupboard
- Hinged doors, sliding doors or open shelving
- The internal layout: drawers take more work than shelves
- Board and finish choices, and the style of door
- Removing the old fit-out and making good the walls

FAQ
Wardrobe and shelving questions
Can you redo the inside of my existing wardrobe?
Yes, and it's often the best value. If the doors and carcass are in good shape, we can strip out the original shelf and rail and fit a new layout inside. You get far more storage without the cost of a full new robe.
Should I choose sliding or hinged wardrobe doors?
Sliding doors save space in smaller bedrooms because they don't swing into the room, but you can only open one side at a time. Hinged doors give you full access and suit wider rooms. We'll look at the room and help you weigh it up.
How deep should a wardrobe be?
Deep enough for a coat hanger to sit across the rail without the clothes rubbing on the doors. Much deeper than that and you lose floor space for little gain. We measure what you hang and plan the depth around it.
Can I add lights inside my wardrobe or pantry?
Yes, but the wiring has to be done by a licensed electrician. We can build in the space and the channels for lighting, and coordinate with a sparky to do the connection.
How do you stop shelves sagging over time?
It comes down to the shelf material, its thickness, how far it spans and how it's supported. Long spans get a centre support or a stiffening edge, and heavy-duty shelves are fixed into the wall framing. That's why a pantry shelf is built differently from a linen shelf.
