Local carpenter
Local to the northern Gold Coast
Multi House Services is run by Isaac, a licensed carpenter and handyman based in Hope Island. Most of our work is on the northern Gold Coast, from Sanctuary Cove and Coomera through Helensvale, Paradise Point and Runaway Bay, and we also work in Southport, Surfers Paradise, Robina and Burleigh Heads.
Homes here range from canal-front houses and resort-style properties to new builds in the growing estates around Pimpama and Upper Coomera. Each comes with its own issues. Coastal homes deal with salt air and humidity. New homes have their settling cracks and fit-out jobs. Older brick and timber houses need doors rehung, fences replaced and decks brought back to life.
We do carpentry, plaster and handyman work, so one visit can cover a sticking door, a ceiling patch and a loose gate. If a job needs an electrician, plumber or pest controller, we'll tell you straight away, and on jobs like LED feature ceilings we can coordinate the licensed electrician.
What we see here
Gold Coast homes and what they need
Salt air and rusting fixings
Close to the beach and the Broadwater, salt eats ordinary screws, hinges and brackets, and leaves black streaks on timber. On coastal decks, fences and gates we use stainless fixings suited to coastal conditions.
Canal-front and pool decks
Waterfront and poolside decks get wet and dry out over and over, which wears timber fast. We build and restore merbau pool decks and replace tired boards, and we'll tell you if your deck needs approval.
Humidity and swelling doors
Summer humidity makes timber doors swell, rub and refuse to latch, especially where the top and bottom edges were never sealed. We fix the hinges first, trim only what's needed and reseal the edge.
Termite-damaged timber
Termites are active across the Gold Coast. We don't treat termites, but once a licensed pest controller has dealt with them, we replace damaged door frames, skirting, fence posts and deck framing.
Storm season repairs
Summer storms knock over fences, rip off gates and send water through ceilings. We rebuild fences and repair water-damaged plasterboard once the roof leak has been fixed by a roofer or plumber.
New estates in the north
In newer suburbs like Coomera, Upper Coomera and Pimpama, we're often asked for wardrobes and shelving, plasterboard feature ceilings and TV walls, and fixing settling cracks and screw pops.

FAQ
Local questions
Do you work on the southern Gold Coast?
Yes. We're based in Hope Island, so the northern Gold Coast is our home patch, but we also work as far south as Robina and Burleigh Heads. If you're further south, send us the job details and we'll let you know.
Can you work on a canal-front home with tricky access?
Usually, yes. Many canal homes have narrow side access or decks that can only be reached through the house. We plan the job around that, protect floors and keep materials tidy, and we'll talk access through when we quote.
Can you build a feature ceiling in a new Coomera or Pimpama home?
Yes. We build plasterboard bulkheads, LED cove channels and TV feature walls with niches in new and existing homes. A licensed electrician does the wiring and lighting connections, and we can coordinate that for you.
Can you fix timber damaged by termites?
Yes, once the termites have been dealt with. We don't treat termites, so a licensed pest controller needs to treat the property first. After that we can replace damaged frames, skirting, fence posts and deck timber.
